Share markets on Friday ended up green, after flip-flops through the day. BSE Sensex gained 86.18 points while NSE Nifty ended up with 26.90 points in green. This marks the end of the week for the markets.
The BSE benchmark edged up on recovery in the bank and IT stocks amid strong global markets.
The BSE settled at 86.18 points, or 0.22 percent, up at 39,615.90. While NSE Nifty rose 26.90 points, or 0.23 percent, to settle at 11,870.65.
At the NSE, sectoral indices of bank, financial service, IT and private banks were in the green. But Nifty pharma was down 1.2 percent.
IndusInd Bank, Bharti Infratel, Bajaj Finance, M&M and Tech Mahindra was among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Dr. Reddys Laboratories, Yes Bank, Power Grid Corporation, Cipla and JSW Steel, reported moneycontrol.com
During the week, the Sensex fell 98.30 points and the broader Nifty lost 52.15 points.
