The COVID war room data showed that Karnataka’s recovery rate now over 80 percent.
The recovery rate for Karnataka now stands at 80.35 percent as recorded on Monday, which is the highest ever that state has reached. The national recovery rate currently stands at 80.1 percent as of Monday n comparison.
Among its districts, Udupi, Vijayapura, Bidar, Gadag, Bagalkote, and Ramanagara have the best recovery rates in the state despite being flood-hit.
Monday also saw the number of recoveries outnumbering new infections. On Monday there were 9,925 recoveries while the discharges stood at 4,23,377. A total of 7,339 fresh infection cases were reported which took the tally to 5,26,876 for the state on Sept 21.
Among them, the biggest chunk came from Bengaluru which accounted for 2,886 cases followed by Mysuru with 524 cases, Shivamogga with 348 cases, Chitradurga with 326 and Tumakuru with 300.
There were 122 deaths reported on Monday, taking the toll in the state to 8,145.
One of the worst-hit states with COVID-19, Karnataka comes at the third spot on the list of most cases. The situation remained under control there even after the entering the Unlock 1.0 but the state has been recording over 8,000 cases for a while now.
