CONGRESS HAS FAILED MIZORAM: PM MODI
At a rally at Lunglei in Mizoram, Prime Minister Modi hit out at the Congress for ignoring the State. The prime minister alleged that the Congress rule had resulted in the state falling behind in development. The prime minister also questioned the delayed projects and crumbling infrastructure.
RAHUL GANDHI PROMISES FARM LOAN WAIVER
While campaigning in Madhya Pradesh, Congress President Rahul Gandhi promises loan waiver within 10 days of coming to power. Rahul also claimed that the BJP hadn’t made good on the promises they had made in 2014 while questioning the poor prices of farmers’ produce.
BJP PRESIDENT: CONGRESS ENCOURAGED INFILTRATION
Speaking at a rally in Madhya Pradesh, BJP President Amit Shah claimed that the Centre had increased the funds allotted to the state by 10 times as compared to the government under Manmohan Singh. He also said that infiltration was rife under the Congress while the BJP had introduced the NRC and marked 40 lakh infiltrators.
RAJASTHAN PARTIES’ UNIQUE NAMES
In the run-up to the Rajasthan polls, a number of parties with unique names have been registered. The Bharatiya Muhabbat Party, Anndata Party, Apna Hindu Ram Bhakat Party, the Akhil Bharatiya Bharat Mata ? Putra Rakhsha and the Religion of Man Revolving Party of India are some examples of parties contesting the upcoming polls ? believe it or not.
TELANGANA CANDIDATE HANDS OUT SLIPPERS
Ahead of the elections in Telangana, Akula Hanumanth, an Independent candidate from Korutla constituency of Jagtial district, adopted a unique strategy to move voters. He carried out a door-to-door campaign where he handed out slippers to voters claiming that they are free to hit him if he does not deliver on promises when he gets elected. We don’t know if the strategy will grab votes, but it sure grabbed a lot of eyeballs.
