BSP chief Mayawati joins hands with Pawan Kalyan’

In a southern outreach ahead of Lok Sabha elections, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has joined hands with Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Making the announcement about the alliance in Lucknow, Kalyan said that he would like to see Mayawati as the Prime Minister of the country.

The BSP chief also reciprocated and said that BSP wishes Pawan to be next Andhra Chief Minister. Mayawati said, “Jana Sena and BSP will fight together in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana; seats have almost been finalized.”

The decision comes a day after Jana Sena released the first list of contestants for four of the 25 Lok Sabha and 32 of the 175 assembly constituencies in Andhra Pradesh.

This move might be considered as a snub to both KCR led Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) and Chandrababu Naidu led Telugu Desam Party(TDP).

TRS’ K Kavitha has expressed her skepticism about the Jana Sena-BSP alliance.
