Congress President Rahul Gandhi on the day of seventh phase polling hails women to be playing a key role in deciding the country’s fate. He said the voice of “mothers and sisters” must be heard.
His comments came as the 59 constituencies vote in the final phase of the General Elections 2019 to decide the fate of 918 candidates in fray including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“Today is the 7th and last phase of polling. Our mothers and sisters have played a key role in these elections, not just as candidates, but also as committed voters whose voices must be heard. I salute them all,” said Rahul Gandhi.
Congress party led by Rahul Gandhi also promised to pass the bill reserving 33 percent seats in the parliament. The Congress president also promised it will reserve 33 percent of all government jobs at national level for women.
Congress party spokesperson Randeep Surjewala urged voters to cast their vote in the final phase of LS polls 2019. “Do vote in the last phase of the general elections to make the country liberal and progressive” he wrote on twitter.
“One vote, will make the future of the youth empowered. One vote, will take the farmers towards loan waiver. One vote, will take small traders towards profit. One vote, will get the deprived ‘Nyay’ (justice),” he added.
