Bhartiya Janata Party is all set to form the government as NDA has breached the 300 mark, wishes have started pouring in from across the globe congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the landslide victory.
Amidst heightened tension post-Pulwama with the neighbour country, Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan congratulated PM Modi, says “look forward to working with him for peace in South Asia.”

Prime Minister of Israel took to Twitter to congratulate PM Modi. Writing in Hindi and English with a photo of PM Modi’s visit to Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu mentioned about “strengthening the great friendship between India & Israel.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a congratulatory telegram to PM Narendra Modi in connection “with the convincing victory of the BJP at the general parliamentary elections.”
In a letter wishing PM Modi on the victory, Chinese President Xi Jinping said, “On the occasion of the National Democratic Alliance winning the 17th Lok Sabha elections under your leadership, I would like to extend my heart-felt congratulations.”
“Looking forward look forward to expand cooperation between our two democracies” President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan congratulated PM Modi for his victory.

Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe also extended their warm wishes to PM Modi. Sirisena on Twitter congratulated PM on “victory and the peoples re-endorsement of your leadership.”

Taking an early lead, BJP was leading in over 300 seats and the Congress was ahead in over 50 seats at around 4:30 pm, according to Election Commission of India’s website.
