Sacred Games Season 2 is coming soon and Netflix made the thrilling announcement through a poster featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui aka ‘Ganesh Gaitonde’.

The OTT platform Netflix has partnered with smartphone giant One Plus to unveil the first look of Sacred Games 2.

Fans were thrilled with joy after the release of the poster and social media was flooded with people’s reaction on how eagerly they have been waiting for the second season of Sacred Games.

Sacred Games featuring Saif Ali Khan (as Sartaj Singh), Nawazuddin Siddiqui (as Ganesh Gaitonde), Radhika Apte and Pankaj Tripathi (as Trivedi) in key roles garnered a tremendous response in its first season.

Sacred Games is Netflix’s first locally produced web series. Sacred Games 2 is Netflix’s first brand association with a mobile handset maker to promote a web series.

Both posters of Gaitonde and Sartaj Singh were shot in One Plus 7 Pro.

In season 2, Kalki Koechlin and Ranvir Shorey will also be seen in key roles. The teaser of the second season introduced the characters to be played by them. Batya Abelman to be portrayed by Kalki and Shahid Khan to be played by Shorey.

In the latest posters, Nawazuddin Siddiqui is seen in a ‘suited’ avatar, very different from his rugged look in season one. Saif Ali Khan, however, looks the same ‘Sartaj Singh’ like he did in season one.

While the first season of Sacred Games was directed by Vikramaditya Motwani and Anurag Kashyap together, the second one will be co-directed by Masaan director Neeraj Ghaywan along with Anurag Kashyap.

Sacred Games, the crime thriller is based on Vikram Chandra’s novel of the same name.

The story revolves around Sartaj Singh, a Mumbai Police cop and Ganesh Gaitonde, a criminal don. Sartaj receives a call from Gaitonde, who tells him to save the city within 25 days. Gaitonde also tells him that everyone will die in the next 25 days except Trivedi (played by Pankaj Tripathi).
