Actor Nawazuddin Siddique starrer British crime drama ’McMafia’ won the ‘Best Drama Series Award’ at the 47th International Emmy Awards on Monday.

McMafia was competing with other renowned series from the world including Netflix India’s crime thriller series ‘Sacred Games’ also starring Nawazuddin.

The Gangs of Wasseypur fame actor shared pictures with the cast of McMafia and expressed his gratitude. The 45-year old actor played the role ‘Dilly Mahmood’ an Indian Business partner in this British crime drama series.

India bagged three nominations in various categories at the 47th International Emmy awards; Scared Games for Best Drama Series, Lust stories for the category of Best Tv/Mini-Series. Radhika Apte also bagged a nomination for Best Performance by an Actress for her role in Lust Stories.

Recently, Nawazuddin was honoured with the ‘Lesley Ho Film Talent Award at the Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF) for his role in ‘Scared Games’.
