Former Heavyweight Boxing Champion Mike Tyson was on his maiden visit to India.
The former champion was accompanied by Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s personal bodyguard Shera. He received a warm and desi welcome by his fans who gathered at the Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International airport.
Mike Tyson arrived in India to inaugurate the Kumite 1 League at the National Sports Club in India at Worli.
“I think the poorer you are, the better boxer you are. The most successful fighters have come from slums. All the fighters who come from the slums are successful. All the current top fighters are from the slums,” said Tyson.

The film features R. Madhavan in the leading role as a boxing coach, with newcomer Ritika Singh as an aspiring boxer.
