Avengers Endgame

The whole world was eagerly waiting for the Avengers Endgame and the current Box Office collection has proved that there ain’t no film like Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame.

Avengers Endgame, as expected, got a smashing box office opening and broke all records in the history of cinema.

Avengers Endgame opened enormously with a record Rs 1,186 crore earnings worldwide. The film has also beaten the records of Star Wars: The Force Awakens with Rs 419 crore in Thursday evening US previews this week. Star Wars previewed at Rs 398 crores in 2015.

Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the latest figures and wrote, “#AvengersEndgame emerges a game changer… Sets new benchmarks on Day 1… An eye opener for the industry that feels national holidays/festivals yield best results at the BO… Fri ₹ 53.10 cr Nett BOC. India biz. Gross BOC: ₹ 63.21 cr. NON-HOLIDAY RELEASE.”

Avengers Endgame has recorded the highest first-day collection of 2019 so far and has emerged as the biggest Hollywood opener till date.

Avengers Endgame continues to smash all records at the international box office, crushing Rs 2,130 crore in just the first two days.

In India, Avengers Endgame has earned a whopping Rs 53.10 crores on the first day.

Though Bollywood does not stand a chance of being compared to something like Avengers the numbers reveal that the latter has crossed first day business of films like Thugs Of Hindostan, the biggest opener from Hindi film industry which had received an opening of Rs 52.25 cr in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu clubbed together.

An interesting thing to note here is a strange coincidence that few of the biggest budgeted films released along the same weekend in previous years. Appears that the last Fridays of April has been really good for some of the films like Baahubali 2‬ which released on Friday, April 28, 2017. Avengers Infinity War‬ released on Friday, April 27, 2018, and now the Avengers Endgame has released on Friday, April 26, 2019.

All the three films have been stupendously successful and money spinners and were released on the last Friday of April. All of them are also non-holiday or long weekend releases.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo the biggest ever entertainer  includes Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, Chris Evans as Captain America, Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Don Cheadle as War Machine, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Josh Brolin as Thanos, Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts, Letitia Wright as Shuri, Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan, Brie Larson as Captain Marvel and Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie.
