The 65th Filmfare Awards was indeed a night full of stars. The biggest and brightest faces of our magnificent film industry were present at the award ceremony at Awesome Assam.

The event was held in Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati. Filmmaker Karan Johar and actor Vicky Kaushal hosted the event.

The biggest and the most celebrated awards show saw a rollercoaster of emotions on stage and behind the stage. The best of the best works were bestowed with the gorgeous black lady.

Gully Boy held its Apna Time, and Ranveer did let the fire inside him explode while grabbing the award for the Best Leading Actor (Male). While Gully Boy received its share of compliments, Ayushman Khurana’s Article 15 was praised too.

Not only Anubhav Sinha’s directorial won Best Film (critics ) but, also the lead star won the Best Actor (critics).

In the rural heartlands of India, an upright police officer sets out on a movement against violent caste-based crimes and discrimination is the story of the film, and Ayushmann nailed it as the cop.

After lifting the trophy, Ayushmann took to his Instagram to express his gratitude and penned down a heartwarming note. He not only thanked all the critics but appreciated all the unconditional love his fans have been giving him.

“Filmfare for the BEST ACTOR (critics). Sigh. When I wrapped up Article 15 I had posted a caption on my social media platforms stating that I just wrapped up the most important film of 2019. And Jitesh Pillai had asked me don’t you think you’re being too pompous. Then I edited it and changed it into ‘one of the best’.But tonight at this moment I stand corrected and validated. Thanks for your unconditional love Jitesh. ?Article 15 also won the best film in critics tonight. Thank you Anubhav sir, your new 2.0 version is that of legend. Kisi ne nahi socha tha ki main uniform mein achcha lagoonga. Aapki vision ko salaam. Film ke co-writer Gaurav Solanki ke lekhan ko salaam. Bharat ke sanvidhaan ko salaam. Hindustan ki badalti awaam (audience) ko salaam”, he wrote.

While the star-studded night was hosted by our favorites and awards were won by the most deserving ones, there were grooving performances by rockstars, Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh. Ayushmann Khurrana and Kartik Aaryan also did not leave any stoned unturned to entertain the audience with some truly power-packed performances.
