This song from the movie is an appealing one due to Ranveer Singh’s (Allahudin Khilji) savage dance moves with his soldiers. The song is full of energy and the music is very much appropriate with the mood of the song. Composed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the song has been sung by Shivam Pathak.
Featuring Alia Bhatt, the song has been correctly termed as the bidaai anthem of the year. Sung by Harshdeep Kaur , it depicts the bond between a father and his daughter and the emotions they go through during a bidaai. Composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy and written by Gulzar, its touchy lyrics and good music, the song is a part of everyone’s playlist till date.
Husn Parcham (Zero)
Katrina Kaif’s song from Aanand L Rai’s Zero is a dance number, showing the actress as Babita Kumari whose dance steps are a treat to watch. Katrina did a costume and hairstyle change for atleast six times in the song.
Bom Diggy Diggy (Sonu Ke Titu ki Sweety)
A perfect dance number from Sonu ke Titu Ki Sweety, this song has been one of the most popular song of the year. Debut of the heartthrob, Kartik Aryan was a part of the 100 crore club and the actor got a thumbs up for his performance in the film.
Chogada Tara (Loveratri)
This can easily be called as the ‘Garba Song of the year’. Aayush Sharma and Warina Husain’s song became a hit, soon after the release. Shot in London, it has been sung by Darshan Raval and Asees Kaur, the foot tapping number was choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant.
Tareefan (Veere Di Wedding)
Tareefan was definitely the party song of 2018. Sung by Badshah, it grabbed eyeballs due to its concept of role reversal. Starring Kareena Kapoor and Sonam K. Ahuja, the girl gang is seen to be dominating their male counterparts.
Singer Darshan Rawal enjoyed a positive response to his song Kamariya from Mitro. Similar to ‘chogada’, this song also blends Gujarati folk with contemporary beats. The festive song has Jackky Bhagnani and Kritika Kamra performing Garba on the streets of Ahmedabad in Gujarat. However, an interesting fact is that this song has been composed by Lijo George and DJ Chetas who has have composed Chogada as well.
A remake of the popular Punjabi song, Guru Randhawa reprised it for the movie Blackmail. This party number shows Irfan Khan as a groom who is hesitantly looking at his bride played by Kriti Kulhari. The newer version omits Bohemia’s rap which was there in the 2015 version.
Dil Chori (Sonu ke Titu ki Sweety)
This song by Yoyo proved that he could never go wrong with party numbers. A revamp to the Hans Raj Hans version, the track became popular among the millenials due to its Bhangra vibes and Hindi lyrics.
Mere naam tu (Zero)
Another track from SRK’s Zero, the track features Shahrukh Khan and Anushka Sharma and has been sung by Abhay Jodhpurkar. The song clearly reminds us of the duo’s chemistry from Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. The visual treatment of the song rightly evokes the emotion of love.
This was the recreated version of Sairat’s song and that is why it opened to mixed reviews. Some people praised it while others were of the view that it was nowhere close to the original. Going by the meaning of the word Zingat which means being carefree, Farah Khan had decided to choreograph it freely and let the people dance, the way they wanted to.
Starring Sara Ali Khan and Ranveer Singh, this party song from simmba has opened to positive reviews, so much so that it is definitely going to be a part of the upcoming parties. Reprised by Tanishk Bagchi, the song has been sung by Neha Kakkar, Kumar Sanu and Mika Singh
Dilbar (Satyamev Jayate)
Another revamp of Sushmita Sen’s iconic number, the song has very appealing belly moves by Nora Fatehi. The party song has made people crazy and this has even made it the most googled song of the year.
