A 34-year-old Canadian rapper died after falling from a plane in Westwold in British Columbia on Saturday.
Jon James McCurray was performing a stunt for his upcoming music video. McCurray fell from the wing of the plane after he lost his balance while shooting.
Ryan Desrochers, McCurray’s manager said, “His final act included performing an airplane stunt that included rapping while walking on the wing. He had trained intensely for this stunt; however, as Jon got further out onto the wing of the plane, it caused the small Cessna to go into a downward spiral that the pilot couldn’t correct. Jon held onto the wing until it was too late, and by the time he let go, he didn’t have time to pull his chute. He impacted and died instantly,” as reported by Global News.
The YouTube sensation was fond of music and extreme sports like skydiving and cliff jumping. In his music videos, he is seen performing many outrageous stunts.
Jon James had around five million viewers for his music videos. James was a professional free skier, rapper, film maker and stunt artist.
