The Entertainment Journalists’ Guild of India on Tuesday decided to boycott Kangana Ranaut and denied her any media coverage in future.

The decision comes after a delegation from the Guild told producer Ekta Kapoor about the decision, two days after the actor’s spat with a PTI journalist Justin Rao at an event in Mumbai.

The delegation demanded an apology from the actor and Ekta, who is the producer of upcoming film Judgementall hai kya.

“We, as a guild, have collectively decided to boycott Ms Ranaut and not give her any media coverage. Rest assured, we will not let this matter affect ‘Judgementall Hai Kya’ in any manner and will be supportive of your film and other cast members, barring Ms Ranaut,” the letter by Guild to Ekta Kapoor reads.

However, according to reports, Ekta agreed to apologise and expressed regret over the Sunday incident.

Meanwhile, Kangana’s sister and Manager Rangoli Chandel said on Twitter that the actor will not apologise. Calling journalists anti-national and libtard she said, “just wait and watch, tumne galat insaan se maafi mangi hai …”

In another tweet Rangoli while replying to a journalist claimed Kangana being a patriot and said “BJP ko support karti hai, tabhi sab libtards uspe gang up kar rahe ho..”

Earlier on Sunday, Kangana had a heated argument with the journalist at a promotional event for the Rajkumar Rao and Kangana starrer Judgementall Hai Kya in Mumbai.

In the video clip, that has gone viral, Jatin introduces himself to Rajkumar and Kangana interrupts and apparently claims him to be “dushman” – because he “bashed” her film Manikarnika.

“You were bashing Manikarnika. Have I done anything wrong by making a film on nationalism? You called me a jingoistic woman who is making a film on nationalism,” she said while accusing him for messaging and meeting her for three hours.

However, Ekta Kapoor interrupts to cool the temper and the press conference continued as usual.

‘Judgementall Hai Kya’ will hit the screens on July 26.
