After making heads turn with her dazzling fairy-tale pink gown at MET Gala 2019, Deepika Padukone has finally revealed the behind-the-scenes video of how she dressed up for her red carpet look at the big fashion night.
Recently, one of the most famous fashion magazine- Vogue released a video which gives out the entire process in turning Padmavaat star into a bold Barbie girl for the MET Gala world. “Indian actress Deepika Padukone went for her most adventurous look yet, with inspirations that ranged from deep sea documentaries to Barbie,” reads the description.
In the video, we see Deepika’s first reaction after she sees her MET Gala outfit for the first time. “It’s not a dress, it’s like art,” the actor exclaims.
The theme for the world’s biggest fashion event was ‘Camp: Notes on Fashion,’ and Deepika called upon the talents of the designer Zac Posen. He made up a custom candy-pink gown, decorated with three-dimensional sea urchin-inspired accents.

This candy-pink gown made Deepika look like realistic version of classic Barbie doll. She added drama to her look with a voluminous high ponytail, dramatic burgundy lips and purple eye make-up. She completed her look with a pair of diamond earrings and a statement cuff.
Deepika Padukone made her debut at MET Gala in 2017 with a simple white slip dress by Tommy Hilfiger. The actress was literally oozing elegance with that outfit. Last year, the actress wore an elegant red Prabal Gurung gown with red heels.
