Bollywood actor Tanushree Dutta has filed a ‘protest petition’ in the court against the clean chit given to Nana Patekar in the alleged sexual assault case. The police submitted a ‘B report’ in the court’ where they stated evidence could not found to file a charge sheet.
The 35-year old actor’s lawyer, Nitin Satpute, had filed the petition on her behalf before the metropolitan magistrate’s court in Andheri, Mumbai.
The petition filed demanded contempt proceedings against the investigating officer for filing a false report. It also demands a case against him by the Anti-corruption bureau.
Tanushree Dutta had accused Nana Patekar of harassment and misconduct while the shooting of song in the 2008 comedy movie ‘Horn ok please’. In 2018, the actor filed a case against him.
Dutta had spoken about this incident during an interview with a leading media house. The actor also accused the makers of removing her from the movie when she spoke against the harassment. Actor Rakhi Sawant replaced her in the song.
After Tanushree Dutta’s accusations, many other Bollywood actors joined ‘Me too’ movement and spoke about various sexual harassment cases. During the movement, people accused Alok Nath, Anu Malik, Vikas Bahl and many others of sexual misconduct.
Recently, Anu malik was removed as judge from the singing reality show ‘Indian Idol’ after getting called out by various people.
