Robert Downey Jr has played one of the most celebrated roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe – Iron Man. His last words from Avengers Endgame, “I love you 3000”, can still make any Marvel fan go head over heels. Sadly, this movie was supposed to mark the end of Downey Jr’s 10-year-long association with the MCU.
But, Marvel fans are in for some good news. Reportedly, RDJ will be starring in the upcoming Marvel movies at the cost of a pay-cut. You ask why? Well, Robert was recently seen in Dolittle which didn’t really do well at the box office. It was Downey Jr’s first appearance in a non-MCU movie in over six years.
This probably made him realize that he is made to play roles like Iron Man, and we can’t deny that! Earlier too, speculations were rife that he is not stiff about his decision to exit the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
On The Today Show, Robert Downey was asked about his plans of returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the future. Downey answered in an open-ended manner and raised the hopes of his fans worldwide.
“I’m not sure. Are we in bargaining now? I am so pleased, just that, I wound up where I have. I’m very fortunate so, I’m not the kind of guy who — I want to try to keep it classy. We’ll see,” Robert Downey Jr said.
