After impressing everyone with his uncanny resemblance to Kapil Dev in ‘83’, Ranveer Singh is back with a new avatar. The 34-year-old actor shared the first look from his upcoming movie ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ on social media.

The Gully Boy fame actor wrote ‘‘JAYESHBHAI hain ekdum JORDAAR!#JayeshbhaiJordaar #ManeeshSharma #DivyangThakkar @yrf”.

Ranveer Singh is playing the character of a Gujurati man in this movie. In the poster, Ranveer is surrounded by women who are all wearing the traditional Gujarati sarees and have covered their faces with ‘Ghoonghat’. Ranveer is wearing a colorful shirt and a pair of grey trousers. The actor is also spotting a mustache in this new role.

Jayeshbhai Jordaar is written and directed by debutant filmmaker Divyang Thakkar. The movie is produced by the Yash Raj Banner.

The movie is a comedy-drama set in which Ranveer is tackling some serious issues like women’s empowerment and safety.

This is the second time Ranveer is playing a Gujurati character in a movie. Earlier, the actor played the role of a young Gujarati man in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Goliyon Ki Raas Leela, Ram Leela’ alongside Deepika Padukone.

Jayeshbhai Jordaar will hit theaters on April 10, 2010
