A team of officials from Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad visited Sonakshi Sinha’s house in Mumbai on Thursday in connection with cheating case filed against her.
Last year, an event organiser named Pramod Sharma had accused the Dabangg actress for not turning up for an event in New Delhi at a very last moment even after accepting a booking amount of Rs 24 lakhs. Pramod filed a complaint against Sonakshi regarding the incident with the police in Moradabad in February 2018. The police officials reached Sonakshi’s home to take her statement regarding the cheating case filed against her.
However, Sonakshi was not present at her home when the police arrived and therefore, left after waiting for her for a few hours. The police will likely visit the actress’s home again on Friday.
Denying all the allegations against Sonakshi, her spokesperson said to Mirror Now, “In her nine-year-long career, she has only worked with complete honesty and sincerity. What this man is accusing her of is completely untrue and baseless. This is just a way of extortion by maligning her spot-free reputation in the press and it is not something that Sonakshi and her team will succumb to. She is a thorough professional and we have been more than cooperative with whichever authorities that have gotten in touch with us because we have nothing to hide.”
Talking about the work front, Sonakshi Sinha will star in Dabangg 3 opposite Salman Khan. Apart from Dabangg, Sonakshi will also be seen in Khandaani Shafakhana, Mission Mangal and Bhuj: The Pride Of India. In Mission Mangal, Sonakshi is playing the role of ISRO scientist. Mission Mnagal is a film based on true story of India’s first mission to Mars.
