Former Rajasthan Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Vasundhara Raje in a precautionary move, put herself and her son Dushyant Singh, also an MP, on self-quarantine.
Vasundhara Raje tweeted, “While in Lucknow, I attended a dinner with my son Dushyant and his in-laws. Kanika, who has unfortunately tested positive for #Covid19 was also a guest… As a matter of abundant caution, my son and I have immediately self-quarantined and we’re taking all necessary precautions.”

Dushyant Singh had also attended the Parliament session after the day of the party. He was sitting beside Manoj Tewari and Surendra Nagar Nishikant.
Singh was also seen in the Rashtrapati Bhavan on March 18th, where President Ram Nath Kovind had welcomed MPs of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh fro breakfast.
Congress MP Derek O’Brien, who was reportedly sitting next to Dushyant went into self-quarantine.

Reacting to the news, in a tweet, he said, “This government is putting us all at risk. The PM says self-isolate yourself but Parliament is on. I was sitting next to Dushyant the other day for 2.5 hours. Two more MPs are in self-isolation. The session should be deferred.”
Apna Dal Chief Anupriya Patel also tweeted about her self-isolation and said, “I was present at an event yesterday. Fellow MP Dushyant Singh was also present at the event. As a precaution, I am going into self-isolation. I will follow the necessary guidelines by the government.”

Earlier, Kanika Kapoor had tested positive for Covid-19 after her return from London on March 15th. She was tested in the Lucknow at the King George’s Medical University and was the first Bollywood celebrity to be diagnosed with the Coronavirus.
Kapoor is put under quarantine and complete medical care.
In India, the number of Covid-19 cases rose to 223 including 196 active cases and four deaths, until Friday.
