More than three billion people around the world are living under lockdown as governments stepped up their efforts against the coronavirus pandemic.
Italy, the second most affected country by the pandemic has recorded 74,386 infected cases and 7,503 death. The USA is also not far behind in the game of numbers from China with a difference of only 10,000 cases.
As the death toll increased in folds in Italy and Spain, United Nations Chief Antonio Guterres started a $2bn in international humanitarian aid to help poorer countries tackle the coronavirus pandemic.
“A threat to the whole of humanity and the whole of humanity must fight back,” said Guterres.
