The death toll due to the novel coronavirus climbed up to 15, and the count of positive cases surged past 630 in India.
On Thursday morning, over 10 fresh cases of Covid-19 were reported, along with 3 fatalities. The fatalities include two fresh deaths and a woman who died on 24th March whose test reports confirmed that she had Covid-19.
Meanwhile, Goa reported its first 3 cases of coronavirus on Wednesday. All three males had recently traveled abroad.
Maharashtra still stands as a high-risk zone as over 128 cases of Covid-19 have been reported in the state till now. This is the maximum number of cases reported in India so far.
Kerala stands at the second spot with 118 positive cases of coronavirus. The figure includes 8 foreign nationals.
Karnataka has reported 41 cases of Covid-19, while Gujarat stands close at 38. The tally of coronavirus cases in Uttar Pradesh rose to 37, Rajasthan recorded 38, and Telangana’s tally surged to 42.
Meanwhile, in Delhi, the number of positive cases rose to 36 after a Mohalla clinic doctor, along with his wife, daughter, and one other person tested positive for Covid-19. The virus was transmitted to the doctor through a woman who had recently returned from Saudi Arabia.
The number of positive cases in Punjab rose to 33, while its neighboring state Haryana has reported 29 cases as of now. Tamil Nadu’s tally reached 26.
Ladakh has reported 13 Covid-19 cases as of now, while Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir have reported 11 positive cases each.
In West Bengal, an elderly man tested positive for Covid-19, taking the case count in the state to 10.
The capital of Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh has reported a total of 7 Covid-19 cases as of now. The tally of positive cases in Uttarakhand reached 5, including one foreigner.
Chhattisgarh and Himachal Pradesh have reported 3 coronavirus cases each. Odisha’s case count stands at 2, while Puducherry, Mizoram, and Manipur have reported 1 case each.
