The death toll in the Delhi violence that has shaken the entire nation has risen to 38 on Friday. In GTB Hospital 34 people have died, whereas 3 in LNJP Hospital and 1 Jag Parvesh Chander Hospital. 3 and 1.
A police spokesperson said 48 FIRs registered and 514 people detained so far in connection to the violence that erupted in Northeast Delhi on Sunday.
The areas of Northeast districts of Delhi are reaching normalcy, and have spared any major clashes shifting the focus on the treatment of those injured and further investigation in the mater.
Prohibitory orders imposed under section 144 of the CrPC will be relaxed for a total of 10 hours on Friday in view of the improvement in the situation, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) said.
The ministry issued a statement around 10 PM on Thursday, after Home Minister Amit Shah reviewed the situation in the violence-hit parts of the city in a meeting with senior’s officials and the top police officials.
The Lieutenant Governor of Delhi also held a review meeting with senior police officers. The Lieutenant Governor instructed the Special Commissioner of Police (Vigilance) to meet the injured persons and families of the deceased personally.
