On Tuesday, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) postponed class 10 and 12 exams scheduled for February 26 in the northeast part of New Delhi.
In continuation of the same CBSE has also postponed the class 12 exams scheduled on 27th February of the following subjects, English Elective, English Core and English Elective C.
The order has been issued on the request of Directorate of Education of Delhi government in the view of violence in North-East part of the national capital.
“On the request of Directorate of Education, Government of Delhi and to avoid inconvenience to students, staffs, and parents, the Board has decided to postpone Class 10 and 12 exams scheduled for February 26 in the northeast part of Delhi,” a press note said.
However, the board said that exams in the rest of the Delhi shall be conducted as scheduled.
“The next date of exam for affected students will be notified shortly,” the press note said.
Class 10 exams have been postponed in the subjects of English Communicative, and English Language and Literature.
For Class 12, the subjects are Web Application (Old), Web Application (New), and Media.

However, the exams in the rest of Delhi will be conducted as scheduled, said the CBSE, adding that the new date will be notified shortly.
Moreover, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said on Tuesday,
All private and government schools in violence-affected Northeast Delhi will continue to be closed on Wednesday.
All the internal examinations have been postponed by schools in Northeast Delhi, added Sisodia.
“In violence-affected Northeast district, schools will be closed tomorrow as well. Internal examinations have been postponed. Have requested CBSE to postpone the board exam as well,” he said in a tweet.
Tension has flamed in Delhi’s northeast and at least 18 people have died and around 200 are injured in the violence that erupted in Northeast Delhi on Monday.
