After China put a roadblock once again on the United Nations Security Council resolution to designate Maulana Masood Azhar of the Jaish-e-Mohammad as a global terrorist, Indians are seething with rage.
Social media is abuzz with calls to boycott all the Chinese goods. Indians on twitter are saying that China should be taught a lesson in supporting Pakistan.
We should start campaign to ban Chinese product in our country using hashtag #BoycottChineseProducts?

This is a typical response as in the past as well whenever China makes a move against Indian interests; Indians decide to boycott Chinese products thinking that this popular perception will harm China.
Many users on social media said that it would be difficult to avoid Chinese products completely. “Irony is this hashtag (#BoycottChineseProducts) trend will be done from Chinese made mobile phone. No country on earth can afford to ban Chinese products as of today,” said a user.
Very curious how many people tweeting #BoycottChineseProducts are using phones from China – Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, Huawei, Gionee.

The proposal to designate Azhar under the 1267 Al Qaeda Sanctions Committee of the UN Security Council was moved by France, the UK and the US on February 27 after the Pulwama terror attack in which 40 CRPF personnel were killed.
Ministry of External Affairs in a statement expressed disappointment after China put a technical hold on designating Masood Azhar as global terrorist. However, India said that it would continue to pursue all available avenues to ensure that leaders of terror groups involved in heinous attacks on Indian citizens are brought to justice.
