J&K, Jammu and Kashmir, Budgam, Encounter, police, terroristsThe encounter that ensued between security forces and terrorists in Sustu village in Budgam district on Friday has ended. The search operations are underway, said the Jammu and Kashmir police. The gunfight broke out in the wee hours of Friday.

According to a police statement, two terrorists were neutralised in the face off. Identities and affiliations of the terrorists are being ascertained.

During the encounter, 4 Indian Army personnel belonging to 50 Rashtriya Rifles ( also sustained injuries.

Meanwhile, Srinagar Police has issued an advisory. It requests the locals to keep away from the encounter site as it is being sanitized and cleared by Bomb Disposal (BD) squad of Jammu and Kashmir Police.

Earlier on Thursday, a 25-year-old civilian was shot at by terrorists in Tral’s Midoora area in Jammu and Kashmir, police. On March 27, a 24-year old man was killed by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian.
