Haryana Congress leader Vikas Chaudhary was shot dead by unknown assailants in Faridabad at around 9 am on Thursday morning. Vikas Chaudhary who is the congress spokesperson in Haryana was shot at while he was travelling in his car.
According to eyewitnesses Vikas Chaudhary was attacked by four men in a Maruti Suzuki SX4 car when he came out of a Gym after his daily workout in Sector 9 in Faridabad. The assailants reportedly fired four shots at the congress leader’s car which was confirmed by the police as reported by NDTV.
Vikas Chaudhary (38) was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Indian Express reports that the hospital authorities have confirmed that 10 bullets were pumped into him.
“It seems that the assailants were following him in a car to the gym. As soon as he reached and started getting off, they opened fire and fled the spot,” said Sube Singh, PRO of Faridabad Police as reported by Indian Express.
Police suspect personal enmity could be the reason for the murder. However, the entire incident was captured in a CCTV camera installed in the vicinity. Investigation is underway.
