Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir witnessed the worst terror attack on Thursday that shook the entire nation.
The face behind the attack is a 20-year-old boy who lived just 10 km away from the spot where he rammed his car full of IED explosives into the CRPF convoy.
Adil Ahmad Dhar, a recruit by Jaish-e-Mohammed was trained for this specific operation. According to reports.
Sourced by the Jammu and Kashmir police, Adil was in class 11 when he dropped out and joined JeM.
He is also known by the “Adil Ahmad Gaadi Takranewala” and “Waqas Commando of Gundibagh” aliases.
Adil hailed from Kakapora in Pulwama district and had recorded a video before smashing his vehicle into the CRPF convoy that killed 44 soldiers.
Soon after the attack, the JeM claimed responsibility of the attack and identified Adil as their attacker.
Adil Ahmad Dar is the third local suicide attacker recruited by the militant outfit for such fidayeen attacks the other two are Fardeen Ahmad Khan, 16, and 17-year-old Afaq Ahmad Shah.
“When you receive this video I will be enjoying in heaven. Oh Kashmiri people, salute to you that despite seeing lakhs of dead bodies, you did not lose heart,” said Adil in the 10-minute video which was released by JeM.
A Category C’ terrorist (since he was not a part of big terror operations until now) Adil lived with his father and brother before leaving them to join JeM.
“We have given you deep wounds in the past. From IC 814 to Parliament attack to Bagh attack to Tangdhar and Nagrota to Pulwama police lines attack. Towards the end of the video, Adil also says that the Pulwama attack is just the beginning.
