Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra lashed out at Modi Government for its plans to celebrate 100 days in office. She said that the automobile, transport and mining sectors will celebrate their ‘ruin’.
The Congress General Secretary shared her views on Twitter highlighting the crisis situation the aforementioned sectors have been facing due to a probable economic slowdown in the country.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra wrote in Hindi that “the BJP government is celebrating 100 days in office. But the auto sector, transport sector and the mining sector will perceive it as a celebration of their ruin.”
She substantiated her statement saying there were reports of closing down of plants and job losses from every sector.
The Congress Party’s official twitter handle shared news report on Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur being heckled at an event related to Auto sector when he asked the industry barons why the sales did not increase despite the government announcing various sector specific measures.
The Congress twitter handle wrote “The govt must stop spinning tales of people choosing cabs instead of purchasing cars to explain automobile sector collapse. Fact is the slowdown is due to demonetization and poorly implemented GST- they must accept it & remedy it.”
