Dr Manmohan Singh had filed his nomination early this week and thanked his party cadre for giving him this opportunity to represent Rajasthan and serve the state in the Council of states.

While filing nomination Dr Singh said “I recognize that there are sad circumstances due to which the vacancy has arisen and I convey heartfelt condolences to the family of Saini,” and thanked the leaders of Congress Party for nominating him.
