BJP leader Shivraj Singh Chouhan in a press briefing on Thursday said that BJP is ready for the hearing in Karnataka High Court.
The statement came after Congress leader Digvijay Singh had earlier today moved to the High Court seeking permission to meet rebel Congress MLAs.
BJP leader and ex-Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Chouhan also said that “all MLAs were tired of Congress and hence tendered their resignations.”
He further asked the Kamal Nath government to “appear for a floor test” rather than creating a ruckus while the Supreme Court is already hearing the matter.
“Is this democracy?” Chouhan lashed at Congress referring to the protests being held by Congress workers outside the BJP office.
The Supreme Court while hearing the petition filed by Shivraj Singh Chouhan has asked the Speaker to take a decision on the resignations tendered by Congress MLAs. The apex court will co0ntinue hearing the3 matter on Friday from 10:30 am.
The rebel MLAs in the Supreme Court said that they have resigned due to their ideology. They also appealed to the court that the “Speaker cannot sit over resignation indefinitely”.
Shivraj Chouhan later while speaking with the media took a dig at Congress saying, “Digvijaya Singh is the biggest dramatist in the country. He is remembering (rebel) MLAs now. They don’t even want to meet him.”
