Andhra Pradesh is all set to host a massive investment summit which will be attended by ambassadors and diplomats of nearly 30 to 40 countries on August 9 in Vijayawada.
This is the first time the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has initiated an investment drive at this scale after coming to power two months ago. According to a statement from the Chief Minster’s Office, the Summit will be held in coordination with the Ministry of External Affairs.
In the first phase of the Summit, CM Jagan will meet the ambassadors, diplomats and Consul Generals and will meet the representatives of each country in the second phase.
The summit is aimed at attracting investments in different sectors in Andhra Pradesh and to create employment opportunities for the youth. Chief Minister Jagan Reddy has already announced creation of 4.01 lakh government jobs in the state.
The AP government is planning to achieve this feat by appointing village volunteers and ward secretariats. The state is also pioneering in providing unemployment allowance to youth.
On August 8, Kia Motors, a South Korean auto giant is set to launch their first car manufactured at its plant in Ananthapur district in Andhra Pradesh.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been invited to launch the first “Made in India” car in Penukonda, ahead of the investment summit on August 9.
