YSR Congress Party Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on Sunday.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister designate Jagan, whose party achieved a landslide victory in Andhra Pradesh on Thursday, is likely to discuss providing outside or issue-based support to the PM Modi’s government.
Jagan may also invite PM Modi on his swearing-in ceremony at the meeting.
During his election campaign, the YSRCP chief had said his party would support whoever promises Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh.
The very status on what Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu left the NDA and led several protests against not granting the same.
On Saturday, he met Telangana Chief Minister and Telangana Rashtra Samiti Chief K Chandrasekhar Rao and invited him on his swearing-in on May 30.
According to The News Minute, both Jagan and KCR share a cordial relationship. In fact, Jagan was the first regional leader who responded positively to KCR’s idea of a Federal Front–an alternative to the BJP and Congress.
Jagan’s swearing-in is scheduled on May 30 in Vijayawada at Indira Gandhi stadium.
In a spectacular performance, Jagan’s YSRCP had won 151 of 175 assembly and 22 of the 25 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh.
