Blood donation camp in Karnataka

Blood Helpline Karnataka and Noor Youth Association of Kodlipete,  Karnataka organised a blood donation camp in the Kodagu district.

This camp was organised on March 10 and saw an active participation from the youth of the district. The donation camp was set up at Noor Mahal of Kodlipete.

Dr Uday Kumar, the president of the doctor’s association of Kodagu district, attended the program as a chief guest. He praised the organisers and explained how noble a deed blood donation is. He also stated that each drop of blood could save one life and make our society healthier.

He also educated the audience about the criteria of blood donation and the various safety measures that need to be taken while donating. Around 106 people donated their blood in this program. All the donors were properly checked before and after the blood donation to ensure the safety of both donor and the future recipient. Juice and fruits were given to the donors.

Social activists were also felicitated on this occasion including Altaf Bilagula and Nasir R B. The program was attended by other special guests as well and Hassan blood bank assisted the crucial role of blood collection. Zahir Niam thanked the guests and donors for making this blood donation camp a success.
