Karnataka BJP President BS Yeddyurappa on Monday debunked rumours of Prime Minister Narendra Modi contesting the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from the state of Karnataka. The BJP leader rubbished the report saying that it is ‘far from the truth’.
“All this is far from the truth, unnecessarily such news is being spread. There is no substance in it,” the former Chief Minister said to reporters. Yeddyurappa added that the final list of contestants for the November 3 by-poll elections will be decided by the core members of the party.
The Karnataka by-polls will commence on 3rd November.
