In a shocking incident, skeletal remains were unearthed from the premises of the Tollywood actor Akkineni Nagarjuna’s farmhouse located in Papireddyguda area of Rangareddy district in Telangana on Wednesday.
The decomposed body that was unearthed from Nagarjuna’s site is believed to be six months old.
The actor had reportedly bought a land site spread over 40 acres recently but the site remained unused for several years. Nagarjuna had hired some farmworkers to ready the site for organic farming.
The farm workers went to the site and noticed a stench coming out of the abandoned building. They went closer to the building and found skeletal remains which were completely decomposed.
Keshampet police under whose jurisdiction the farmhouse falls registered a case and are conducting the investigation. Police suspect the death of the person whose decomposed body was recovered might have been a suicide.
Police were informed who arrived at the crime scene along with dog squad. They collected forensic evidence and registered a case of suspected death under section 174 of CrPC.
The identity of the deceased is not yet known. Police are reportedly going through the list of missing persons to ascertain the identity of the decomposed body recovered at the farm site of actor Akkineni Nagarjuna.
