Indian players took a day off to go to sightseeing ahead of the two-match Test series against New Zealand, starting February 21.
India won the T20I series 5-0 but lost the ODI series 0-3 but have a chance to end the tour on a high note.
Before the start of the Test series, India will be playing a three-day warm-up game against New Zealand XI.
Cheteshwar Pujara, Umesh Yadav, Wriddhiman Saha and Ravichandran Ashwin joined the team ahead of the Test series and were pictured strolling around the Blue Springs in Putaruru.
The Board of Cricket for Control in India (BCCI), through their Twitter handle, posted pictures of players having fun at the Blue Springs.
BCCI’s Twitter post read: “A long walk by the Blue Springs and a whole lot of fun with the teammates, that’s how #TeamIndia spent the day off ahead of the Test series.”

Mohammad Shami also posted a picture alongside skipper Virat Kohli and his wife and Bollywood actress, Anushka Sharma, and pacer Navdeep Saini.
It will be interesting to see whether Ravichandra Ashwin will get a nod ahead of Ravindra Jadeja, who’s all-around show in the ODI series can’t be neglected.
Also, with Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan out of the squad, some clarity on the opening combination will be the focus for India.
Either Prithvis Shaw or Shubhman Gill is likely to open the Indian innings alongside Mayank Agarwal, who had put an excellent show in the home series against South Africa and Bangladesh.
India’s Test squad: Virat Kohli (Captain), Mayank Agarwal, Prithvi Shaw, Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane (vice-captain), Hanuma Vihari, Wriddhiman Saha (wicket-keeper), Rishabh Pant (wicket-keeper), R. Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, Umesh Yadav, Mohd. Shami, Navdeep Saini, and Ishant Sharma (subject to fitness test).
