World number one Rafael Nadal on Saturday advanced to the last 16 of the Aus Open while Dominic Thiem also booked his passage to the fourth round here.
Nadal dismantled compatriot Pablo Carreno Busta in straight sets to advance to the next round.
The 33-year-old defeated his fellow Spaniard, Busta, 6-1, 6-2, 6-4 to reach the fourth round of the Aus Open for the 13th time in his career.

Nadal, who is bidding to equal Roger Federer’s record of 20 grand slam titles, will now face either Nick Kyrgios or Karen Khachanov.
World number five Dominic Thiem also booked his spot in the fourth round of the Aus Open, after ousting American Taylor Fritz in four sets.
Thiem defeated Fritz 6-2, 6-4, 7-6(5), 6-4 to equal his best result in the first grand slam of the year.
The Austrian, Thiem, will now take on France’s Gael Monfils, whom he described as a great entertainer.
“Even if you play against him on the court it’s great to see his show,” Thiem said on being asked about his R16 clash with Monfils.
Meanwhile, Russia’s Andrey Rublev stunned the 11th seed, David Goffin, to advance to the R16.
Rublev ousted the Belgian, Goffin, by 2-6 7-6(3) 6-4 7-6(4).
In women’s singles, Romania’s Simona Halep outclassed Kazakhstan’s Yulia Putintseva in straight sets.
In a match that lasted for an hour and 18 minutes, Halep defeated Putintseva 6-1, 6-4.
