World number one Rafael Nadal, Nick Kyrgios and Stanislas Warinkaall won their respective second-round matches in the ongoing Australian Open while Kevin Anderson suffered a shock exit after defeat on Thursday.
Top-seeded Nadal outclassed Federico Delbonis in straight sets to advance to the third round.
Nadal defeated the Argentine Delbonis 6-3 7-6(4) 6-1 to book his place in the third round of the Australian Open for the 14th time.

The 2009 AO champion will now take on compatriot Pablo Carreno Busta in the third round on Saturday, for a place in the next round.
Also in men’s singles, top-seeded Australia Nick Kyrgios also advanced to the third round after defeating France’s Gilles Simon in four sets.
The local favourite, Kyrgios, ousted the Frenchmen Simon 6-2 6-4 4-6 7-5 to book a third-round birth in the Australian Open for the fourth time.
Stanislas Wawrinka also won his third-round match against Italy’s Andreas Seppi. He won 4-6 7-5 6-3 3-6 6-4.
Meanwhile, South Africa’s Kevin Anderson had to suffer a shocking defeat at the hands of unseeded American Taylor Fritz.
Fritz ousted Anderson (4-6 6-7(5) 7-6(4) 6-2 6-2) in a five-set thriller to set up a third-round tie with Dominic Thiem, who earlier defeated Fritz’s compatriot Alex Bolt, also in a five-set thriller.
In women’s singles, Simona Halep eased off with 6-2, 6-4 win over Harriet Dart.
