Online streaming platform Hotstar has released the trailer of a new documentary series made on the exclusion and return of Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League.
The Chennai-based franchise along with Rajasthan Royals was banned from playing in season 9 and season 10 of the IPL.
The trailer of the series titled ‘Roar of the Lion’ features MS Dhoni speaking out on the tough times the Chennai Super Kings squad members, backroom staff and especially the fans had to go through.
In the trailer, the CSK captain says “The biggest crime that I can commit is not a murder, it’s actually match fixing. The team was involved, naam to mera bhi uchhla tha, kaafi tough phases the humare liye, fans felt that the punishment was harsh. Coming back, emotional moment tha. And I have always said, what doesn’t kill you, makes you strong.”
The full documentary series ‘Roar of the Lion’ can be streamed on the online platform 20th March onwards.
Earlier this month, Netflix released a documentary on Mumbai Indians’season and their struggles in defending their IPL champions title in Season 11 of the coveted tournament.
Now, Hotstar has jumped on the bandwagon and released another documentary on the world’s biggest T-20 competition.
