LaLiga leaders Real Madrid crashed out of the Copa Del Rey after suffering a shocking defeat at home to Real Sociedad in the quarter-finals while Barcelona were also edged out by Athletic Bilbao, a few hours later.
Alexander Isak netter twice in the second half as ‘La Real’ pulled off a shocking result to oust Real Madrid 4-3 at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
Martin Odegaard, who is on loan from Real Madrid, opened the scoring against his parent club after Isak’s shot was saved by Areola.

However, Los Leones had to wait for a stoppage-time winner as Sergio Busquets flicked his header into his own net, following Ibai Gomez’s cross.
Bilbao’s shot-stopper pulled off a couple of fine saves with his legs to deny both Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann.
Atletico Madrid and Sevilla had already exited the tournament after shocking defeats in the previous rounds to second division opponents, while Valencia were also edged out by fellow first division outfit, Granada.
In the semi-finals, Granada, Sociedad and Bilbao will join second division side Mirandes, who defeated Sevilla 3-1 to reach the semis of the Copa Del Rey for the second time in their history (2011/12).
