The superstar of the Indian cricket team, Mahendra Singh Dhoni celebrates his 38th birthday today.

The celebrations started early Sunday as he celebrated the day with his family and occasion turned lively soon after India won big against Sri Lanka in Leeds.

Images of late night celebrations were shared on Instagram by his wife, Sakshi Singh Dhoni.

Party is not over yet. Rohit Sharma has plans too! Talking to media after winning against Sri Lanka, Rohit candidly revealed about “cake cutting in the bus.”

“We have our travel day tomorrow and we don’t know we are going to Manchester or Birmingham. Accordingly, we will cut the cake during the bus drive. We will send you the photos,” Rohit said.

Captain Cool, Maahi, MSD whatever you call him, he is arguably the most successful captain in the history of Indian Cricket.

It was Dhoni who brought home ICC 50-over World Cup, T20 World Cup and a Champions Trophy.

It was Dhoni who took India to the number one ranking in both Test and ODI formats.

It is all evident when, ahead of Dhoni’s birthday, the International Cricket Council (ICC) shared a three-minute video on their Twitter handle and credited him as “A name that changed the face of Indian cricket”.

In 2017, Dhoni resigned from the captaincy and passed on the baton to Virat Kohli, but continued to guide the teammates and still thrives to be the leading figure in the team.

Captain Virat Kohli has on several occasions looked upon Dhoni, recently in the ICC video when he said, “What you see from the outside is very different from how things happen within a person. He’s always calm and composed, there’s so much to learn from him. He was my captain and he will always be my captain. Our understanding has always been brilliant. I am always up for listening to his advice.”

Meanwhile, legendary Indian batsman Virendra Sehwag known for his out of the box tweets has a special wish for Dhoni today.
