Centre-back Harry Maguire is likely to miss Manchester United game against Norwich City in the Premier League on Sunday.
Solskjaer said that he does not think that the England defender will be ready for the weekend’s home game against the Canaries.
“We don’t know. It is not going to be a long term one. But I don’t think he will be ready for the weekend. Let’s see,” the ManUtd.com quoted Solskjaer as saying.
Harry Maguire picked up a knock during the sides FA Cup third round fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Consequently,
The 26-year-old missed last night’s Carabao Cup semi-final first leg against local rivals Manchester City at home. City defeated United 3-1 and the Red Devils will be hoping to turn the tie around in the second leg, which will be played on January 29 at the Etihad.
After the defeat, Solskjaer said that he has a very young team, which is learning. He added that the team has to show the mentality, which they displayed in the second half, having trailed 0-3 at the break.
“We have a young team who are learning. I have said it many times. It is not
going to change between every press conference. I am still in that phase where I
have a young team that is learning,” he said.
“We have to get to that second half mentality (against City) quicker. It can’t be
me, or us, coming in at a half time,” he added.
