Mayank Agarwal smashed a ton as Team India ended Day 1 of the 2nd Test against South Africa at 273/3 in Pune on Thursday.
Earlier, Indian skipper Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bat first in Pune.
The Men in Blue had a bad start as Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 14 in the 10th over. Kagiso Rabada took the wicket of Rohit.
However, Mayank and Pujara then stitched 138 runs for the second wicket as Pujara departed after completing his fifty. Rabada dismissed Pujara for 56.
As India was heading to cross 200, Rabada got his third wicket in the form of Mayank Agarwal, who departed after a brilliant 108.
The 28-year-old, Agarwal, had scored 215 in the first Innings of the 1st Test.
Although, India didn’t lose another wicket as skipper Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane got the team back on track, thanks to an unbeaten 75 runs partnership.

Earlier in the day, Virat Kohli became only the second Indian to captain in 50 Tests. Only MS Dhoni had achieved the feat, before Kohli.
Dhoni has captained Team India for 60 times in the longest format of the game.
Team India will resume Day 2 of the 2nd Test at 273/3 with Kohli batting on 68 while Rahane is also unbeaten on 18.
