While chasing 273, Shikhar Dhawan gave away his wicket to Pat Cummins at a meagre score of 12 runs. The skipper Virat Kohli got out on just 20 to Marcus Stoinis.

Rishabh Pant tried to play a steady innings against his natural style but got out for 16 to a dream Nathan Lyon delivery. Vijay Shankar also got out on 16 runs off an Adam Zampa delivery.

Rohit Sharma scored his 41st half century in the format but failed to steer the ship home as he was stumped off a Zampa delivery.

Ravindra Jadeja got out for a duck in the same over in the same fashion as Alex Carey stumped two Indian batsmen off Zampa’s balls.

Kedar Jadhav and Bhuvneshwar Kumar built a 91-run partnership for the 7th wicket but the duo got out off consecutive deliveries. Jadhav’s 44 and Kumar’s 46 went in vain as the Australians completed the comeback after losing the first two matches.
