Team India pacer Jasprit Bumrah jumped four spots to number 3 in the ICC Test bowlers rankings after a talismanic performance in the West Indian tour.
Jasprit reaches career-best 835 points mark in the latest rankings that were released on Tuesday.
Australia’s Test vice-captain Pat Cummins retains top spot, while Kagiso Rabasa also consolidates his second spot.
Jasprit Bumrah was the top wicket-taker in the two-match Test series, scalping 13 wickets.
Bumrah also became only the third Indian bowler after Harbhajan Singh and Irfan Pathan to pick up a Test hat-trick. The 25-year-old achieved the feat in West Indies’ first innings of the second Test.
Bumrah, while speaking to BCCI, dedicated his hat-trick to Virat Kohli.
“I owe my hat-trick to you,” he said.
Speaking after India’s second Test win on Monday, Virat Kohli hailed Bumrah by calling him the “most complete bowler” in world cricket at the moment.
During the first Test, Bumrah also became the fastest Indian bowler to take 50 Test wickets.
Meanwhile, Indian pacers Mohammed Shami and Ishant Sharma have moved to the 18th and 20th spots respectively.
In Test team rankings, Team India retained top spot after 2-0 series win over West Indies.
The Men in Blue also moved top of the ICC Test Championship tables with 120 points.
India will now take on South Africa in a three-match T20 series, followed by a three-match Test series.
