Adam Milne was ruled out for the whole of the Indian Premier League season with a swollen heel. Milne was picked by the Mumbai Indians for Rs. 75 Lakhs in last year’s auctions.

Mumbai Indians have been going through a lot of injury scares with ace bowler Jasprit Bumrah also getting injured in the match against Delhi Capitals.

Joseph has turned out for the West Indies in 9 tests and 16 one-day internationals and is yet to make his T20I debut for his national team. He has 25 test wickets and 24 ODI wickets against his name.

In fact, Joseph has only been part of 9 T20s at the top level bagging 11 wickets at an economy of more than 11.

He turned out for the Chris Gayle-led St. Kitts side in the Caribbean Premier League last season picking 4 wickets in as many matches.

The young fast bowler would be a back-up for Lasith Malinga but with the 2019 World Cup just around the corner, Malinga will be expected to take some rest in the second half of this IPL season.

The 22-year old will be expecting to make his Indian Premier League debut this season.

Mumbai Indians would be looking to bounce back from their defeat against the Delhi Capitals in their Thursday’s match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
