After enjoying a two-week winter break for the first time ever, Premier League clubs return to action with a full-fledged Matchday 27, with high stakes at both ends of the table.

Battle for European football intensifies as Leicester City, 2nd, and Chelsea, 3rd, hosting Manchester City, 2nd, and Tottenham Hotspur, 5th, respectively.

Leicester could close the gap two just one point on Manchester City with a win at the King Power on Saturday, while a win for the latter could see the points difference rise to seven.

In the same fixture last season, the Foxes won 2-1 against 10-man Cityzens, following the expulsion of Fabian Delph.`

With City and Leicester sitting 2nd and 3rd, comfortably, the battle for the final Champions League football next season is set to go down the wire with fourth-placed Chelsea and fifth-placed Tottenham kicking-off Matchday 27.

Following their 2-0 defeat at home to Manchester United, Chelsea will be hoping to better their home form as they face Tottenham at the Stamford Bridge.

Frank Lampard’s men have already dropped more points at home this season, than away.

Chelsea could also go four points clear of Tottenham, who have won just one of their last 33 games at the ‘Blues’ den (a 3-1 win in April 2018).

Jose Mourinho will be hoping for a winning return to the Bridge but could see his side slip to seventh if Sheffield United and Manchester United win at home to Brighton and Watford.

After their 4-0 win against Newcastle United weekend, followed by a 1-0 win against Olympiakos in the Europa League, Arsenal will be aiming to record back-to-back Premier League for the first time since August as they take on Everton at the Emirates.

The Toffees, on the other hand, are also unbeaten in their last five PL fixtures, since a 2-1 defeat to Manchester City on New Year’s Day.

Meanwhile, Liverpool sits 22 points adrift at the top, still unbeaten, and just five wins away from being crowned champions of England for the first time in 30 years.

The Reds, who lost 1-0 on Tuesday in the Champions League R16 first-leg tie against Atletico Madrid, will hope to continue their impressive domestic form with a win over the West Ham on Tuesday.
