Georginio Wijnaldum forced an error from Dean Henderson to score twenty minutes from time to hand Liverpool all three points.
The Reds, however, had to suffer a lot as the home side was solid throughout the game.
Before this fixture, Liverpool had never won a Premier League match at the Bramall Lane, losing once and drawing twice.
After last week’s 2-0 success at Everton, Sheffield crashed out of the Carabao Cup in midweek, losing 1-0 to Sunderland.
The Blades were solid in the back as they kept their lines and more than matched Liverpool in the opening 45.
However, Liverpool did have their chances with Sadio Mane blazing one over the bar before hitting the post.
Chris Wilder’s men weren’t clinical at all as they missed a couple of good chances before Liverpool took the lead.
Wijnaldum struck a low-shot from outside the box, which should’ve been a routine stop. But, Henderson somehow spills it and it rolls into the net.
Henderson redeemed himself as he denied Salah one-on-one from close range.
United have now lost three home games in a row for the first time since 2013. However, Chris Wilder’s team is yet to lose on the road this season.
Liverpool have now won their first seven games of the season for only the second time, after 1990-91.
