Antonio Rudiger scored twice in the second half as Chelsea salvaged a 2-2 draw at Leicester City in the Premier League here at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.

Rudiger struck on either side of Harvy Barnes and Ben Chilwell’s goals to earn Chelsea a hard-fought point, keeping their hopes alive for qualifying in next year’s UEFA Champions League group-stage.

Chelsea, however, are winless in each of their last three Premier League fixtures while Leicester returned to winning ways last week, following back to back defeats.

After a goalless first half, which saw both teams squander chances, Chelsea were the first to find the net when Antonio Rudiger headed from close range, following Mason Mount’s curling ball towards the back post, moments after the restart.

Leicester, however, were quick to reply as Harvy Barnes curling shot took a deflection and went past a scrambling Willy Caballero in the Chelsea goal.

Ten minutes later, the stadium erupted when an error from Caballero helped Chilwell to find the back of the net with his weaker right foot, as Leicester turned the tables on the visitors.

But, with the game approaching towards the final quarter, Rudiger popped-up once again to score from a towering header to silence the home fans inside the King Power.

Next week, Chelsea will take on Manchester United at home while Leicester travels to face Wolves in the Premier League.
